Writing a book for the first time was challenging, and I quickly recognized my need for an editor. My grammar was not perfect and I was not sure if my story hung together properly.
Tara was positive and supportive when we talked about the project, and clear about the price. Without knowing exactly what to expect, I handed over my manuscript. When she returned it to me, I was thrilled. Even though she had to correct a lot of my sentences, my voice was still clear. Tara did a great job editing my book. She fixed awkward sentence structures, verb tenses, spelling errors, choice of words and overusage of words among many other things.
She informed me of repetitions of material within the book. She also offered very useful commentary and feedback regarding the material contained, which lead me to re-write some sections and improve them. These edits made the material more concise and impactful, while maintaining my voice. She communicated well throughout the project and delivered the work on time. If you have any editing needs, I would definitely recommend Tara.
